Have you ever been falsely accused of flirting? Were you ever able to convince her/him that s/he had it all wrong?

    Yes. No, I was never able to convince her.

    After pleading my case unsuccessfully, I finally had to tell her I was sorry and didn't mean to hurt her. We were at a business function with some colleagues, the majority of whom happen to be female.

    Although I didn't do anything differently than I do at the office all day long (laugh and joke with male and female co-workers), she said she felt that I humiliated and embarrassed her.

    I had to just give in and apologize to keep the peace. I neeeeeevvvver bring it up.
