What advice would you give to someone from the North East who is moving to southern Florida who knows very little about the area?

    Don't come.

    I know this sounds like a silly answer, but that is how people in Florida feel about northerners moving down here. You will have to deal with that.

    • Not all Floridians feel that way. In fact I don't know any that do. Some people do complain about the snowbirds and how they mess up traffic but people complain about lots of stuff. Are u from Florida or are u just making assumptions.
