    Great Answer

    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

The first band to write and record a popular song named "Cherry Bomb" was The Runaways on their self-titled 1976 album. Another musical artist to employ the name "Cherry Bomb" as a title was John Mellencamp on his 1987 release called "The Lonesome Jubilee."

    • Your statement about the Runaways is true, but you fail to A the Q: the song was written by Joan Jett & Ken Fowley.

    • Lita Ford might have been a co-writer.

Suzi Quatro and others have always
had a grudge against Lita Ford.

      GUESS WHY.

    • I'm going by Cherie Currie's book. For her audition she was to choose a Suzi Q song to sing. She chose Fever which the band would not do. Joan Jett & Ken F went off for ~20 min. to write the song!

Ford was said to be a true pain-as happens so often, she hated the publicity that others got.

I assume you agree that it's lame to say The Runaways wrote the song.

    • I still have not yet seen the movie, and I'm ashamed.

Maybe women really are as jealous.
