Help answer this question below.
It was New Year's Eve, and he was mad because he had been lying to people at work about taking time off (he had wanted a break and told his manager he had reservations for a cruise, so suddenly he and I had gone on a cruise in early Dec.), and on NYE we were spending time with a couple, one of which works with him. Three minutes before we were to meet with these people, he told me about this lie, and how he wanted me to "support" him. Well, I am a terrible liar, and told him so, I couldn't fake it. So. The mitigating factors are: he was really really drunk when he said the above, and he had humiliated himself by fessing up to the lie. What would you accept (if anything) in order to get back together with this guy?
What rules should be established for taking a break in a relationship?? currently the break i decided on is not defined.

You're reading My BF of two years, said to me "you're a bitch, a fucking bitch. Get the fuck out of my life". Did he break up with me?

Right, I think one CAN do irreparable damage to a relationship when one lashes out in anger like that. BTW, he has since recanted, mostly apologized, admitted he set me up and behaved very badly. It's still over.
