You're reading Is it possible for a gay mormon to still have God in their life, or am I just doomed to hell?

Than you would you , and would you advise others, to listen to what God says?

Not if that means believing the Bible as the immutable written words of God...
cause I don't - it's a bunch of stories, written by inspired men and women, and chosen from many, many more by a bunch of Bishops and Rabbis because they inspire faith and teach lessons, not because they are the absolute quotable words of God...
God speaks to each one of us in a way appropriate to that person. No one else can tell me what God may be saying to me...

Yeah, no one can tell you, or me. But our parents told us things. God is the parent of all of us, and He has given His words to us, by preserving them until this day. I believe the Bible becuase from reading it and testing it I know it's true. And praying to God for persanl guidance is the best way to go, be open to what you find. He sent his son Jesus to die for us - he wants us to know him.

Yes, your parents told you things when you were a child. But, I am no longer a child and it's long past the time to put away childish things...

Who fills your head with this? I got tired of people telling me I'm going to hell and took a hike. I love it when they come by and want to tell me all about it, throw a few questions at them and they move on because they only knew what they are told.

Just be glad you didn't have to participate in "aversion therapy" at BYU (assuming you didn't...). You have 2 choices as an LDS homosexual:
1. Marry a heterosexual woman (and possibly ruin her life and dreams as well as the not-so-nice effects on any children from that union), or...
2. Remain celibate AND sexually "pure" for the rest of your life.
If I were Gay, I would get the hell out of the LDS Church. There are a growing number of churches that are understanding and accepting of homosexuals, if religion is important to you. Above all else, just determine to be a good person regardless of how you are treated and in the end it will all work out for your good.
ALL have sinned (in one way or another), so don't pay any attention to those who point fingers of derision as THEY are likely the LEAST deserving of God's love.
Good luck my friend and brother...
