I was speaking in terms of today. I do not see why there would be a reason God would ask anyone in this day and time to kill their son. I don't really know, becuase it's not for me to say. I probably should make it more clear of that point, sorry.

Hmmm...the Bible contains the Ten Commandments, and it also contains a story of Yahweh ordering Abraham to kill his son, which Abraham was about to do...so, if you are talking about Yahweh/Jehova/Allah, he most certainly CAN ask.
