How can rugby players tackle each other and be tackled, without pads and helmets, and not be maimed?

    their just really strong and fit,you do get injured though.there are special techniques you have to follow when you tackle someone or get tackled,but your bound to get injured in any contact sport.I really think the pads and helmets worn when playing gridiron are unnecissary,My brother always calls them wuss's cause they wear all that "armor",Gridiron should be played with out any helmets and stuff,it all looks so ridicoulus to me,a mouth guard is enough.
