Are parents allowed to have my email or username and passwords for things such as email, MySpace, Facebook, blogs, etc. I'm 15 and I will be turning 16 in March. I don't want to give her my passwords, but I'm not sure if it's legal or not.

Basically my mom thinks i'm haunted by a bad ghost, and psychics and santeros tell her that i'm going to get pregnant if I refuse to do this sacrificing ritual. I'm not gonna do that shit. I'm not doing anything wrong. I don't smoke, drink, i'm a virgin, I left the douches in my life, I have a nice boyfriend that's always respectful. Etc. She just believes psychics that supposedly know everything more than me. I'm tired of her getting into my business cuz most of the time she just ends up making it worse. For example, she'd rather me talk to druggies that would rape me at any chance than my clean-cut boyfriend who hates drugs, drinking, and sex before marriage, just cuz they have horrible lives and she feels bad for them. When I turn 16, I am getting emancipated, so yes if it's illegal to try and have my email and password, i will use that in court for emancipation.

    • well, I do feel that you have a right to some privacy. Your mother should believe her own daughter over a psychic. Some parents just hear all the bad things that happen to other teens and get obsessive about the fact it could happen to their child.I hope your mom will open her eyes and see that she has a decent daughter. I hope things get better for you soon!
