Why do they call the drug store "the drug store", shouldn't they call it "the medicine store". 'Cause it sounds like they are selling the other kind of drugs.

    Because it started out as the druggist, the pharmacy, where you got prescription drugs and other medicines from. They WERE and ARE drugs. The majority of drugs are legal and always have been.
