Why do people thank god when good stuff happens (thinking that god helped them) and then don't think it is god's fault or blame god when their baby dies of SIDs or they get cancer or something?

Your saying no one blames God when something bad happens in their life?? Some people claim that they don't believe in God because he took away their parent (or whatever) But thats a different subject. I've always heard of people blaming God for things, as well as thanking him. But if people are going to blame God for letting somebody die, that really doesn't make any sense. God made us mortal, everyone is going to die at some point.

Anyways, it could always be worse, look at the story of Job in the Bible to see someone that was going through a rough time.
