Hospital, in case something goes wrong, which has occurred. Although I didn't like the treatment in one hospital and I was getting ready to go home in the middle of labor. That doctor had to put on a small rocket to get to me as fast as he did. From then on, no problems. +5
In the US what are the legal implications for refusing medical attendance at your baby's birth? Is it even legal not to have anyone there?

And I never want to relive it. I was in so much pain, you could invite the homeless to come and watch the birth. I didn't care who saw what. I thought why be in a hospital in this much pain, no doctor a round and a nurse saying she could take much more pain than me. They got me a new nurse too. The baby was 9 lbs. 6 oz. The doctor and nurse were wide-eyed to see the size of the baby and guessed at the weight. Suby, I'm sure you really want to have this experience. Right?

Thats the heaviest baby I ever heard of, Barbie. Now I can imagine. But in these cases the Doctors usually go for a cesarean section, I thought!

Mine liked the traditional method. My sister had nine pound babies by C-section tho. So now you would like the experience? Once I had the epidural, I still didn't care who was invited to see. Just no pictures until after the baby was born.

Just out of curiosity, barbie, was the baby a boy or a girl and how old is he/she now and is their weight normal for their height?
by Suby the Coat on September 24th, 2009
The one I was talking about was my daughter. My son was also over 9. She is 25, now you know my age. She is a size 4-6. My son is still growing and 5'11 inches, 160. He needs to gain some more. Within the first year, both were within normal weight. They just had a good start. My Mom smoked (back in that time) and I was 6 lbs. My sister's child is younger, 18, and a solid size 8 - very muscular.

Interesting. So birth weight really does not matter later in life. Thanks.
