• Check out Mel Brook's Blazing Saddles. Nice indictment of racism in the form of an American Western. I can see how you'd think that about Aliens. I though it was superior to Alien 3 at least.

• It made the alien expendable. The alien is supposed to be smarter than assorted firearms, but you wouldn't think that watching Aliens. Alien3 was a harrowing psychological drama. And it had better gore than Aliens, not to mention a better, more realistic cast (I'd take maximum security prisoners over marines anyday). And Ripley looked good bald. :)
