Do you have something like "Craig's List" in your area that you can tap for free advertising? Also, start collecting reference letters and certifications for any child care courses you take. Maybe pring some business cards with your photo, name, phone number, and the words "Baby Sitter," and then tack these up in all the grocery stores and any other place where business cards and ads are welcomed. A lot of young girls are afraid to give out their phone number, but baby sitting is a business, and you can't run a business without a contact number. Maybe get a prepaid cell phone with a number that you use only for the babysitting business.
