Im for the death penalty, against it being televised. Why should they get some sort of Fame in their last moments, just kill them and let people forget they ever lived.

Suppose a guy(or a woman) in a case you've followed has been on death row and has now been marked for CP.

You're reading DEATH PENALTY- Most states say that executions are too expensive and that is why the criminals stay on death row so long. Do you think that we should make executions "PAY PER VIEW" to cover the cost and give the left over money to the families?

This is my favourite answer on this question. We don't have the death penalty in the UK, but I think we should. There are people taking up space in prison who are never going to offer anything to society again. Just get rid of them I say and give the cell to some petty thief who currently gets a slap on the wrist.

im from the uk too. I agree there are some criminals who should get the death penalty. I disagree that we should throw more people in prison though. Some of the things people can go to prison for are crazy. Going to jail cause you smoked weed or took a line of coke is insane.

Im with you definately. I smoke weed myself. If I could change our leagl system, there would only be one crime and that would 'Infringement'. How much you have infringed on another persons life and the sentance would be determined by the degree of it. One of my mates went to prison for constantly fighting. It was a good experience for him and he's completely turned his life around.

However, I was walking through Newbury last year and I overheard a gang of lads laughing and bragging that rather than go to jail for a number of convictions, the court instead decided to pay one of them to be a good boy. I'm sure there will be bail conditions with it, but that is an absolute joke. Give the lad the chance to go inside, realise what real life is and then he can turn his around like my mate did. The fact is that there isn't enough room because the likes of Ian Huntley are taking up the space.
