I have been dating a man with a child from a previous relationship. I have voiced my dislike for the child and the mother but am worried how this will affect our future with our children. How should I handle this?

why would you every tell him that you don't like his child. even if this is true DO NOT VOICE IT. that is his blood and A CHILD CAN NOT BE REPLACED. a girlfriend can. and if you cared about this man you would not try to keep him from his child or say any thing like that again. you don't need to have the childs mother in your life but i would try to get to know the child better and understand why he my act the why he/she acts.

actualy I most certainly hope she did, she may not have been ready to take care of me when she had me at age 16 but I hope when she was ready she would have had taken the opportunity.

lol age makes no diff. my mom was 16, and she owned up. sorry yours didn't that your bad, and now look you seem resentful because of it. shoulds like cause you weren't cared for then others can be replaced to.

what have I said that seems resentful? I find an utter dependance on others wether they be family or friends. life must go on and allowing the loss of someone destroy you is highly unhealthy. everyone loses people in life and if losing someone ends you life then the entire world will shut down.
