Do you know that we're not stuck with the lame AB search function? Google can do excellent searches of AB content (details inside).

I actually knew this at one point and lost it in my vast reservoir of Johnny Depp knowledge!

I've whined for a long time about the lameness of AB search... it only searches question text, not comments or answers. But Google DOES have the ability to search AB, and has all the content indexed fairly quickly after it's posted. The trick is limiting your search to JUST Answerbag.com, rather than returning results for the entire Internet.

There are two ways to do this:

Method #1:

Use the text "site: answerbag.com" in the Google search box, along with your search terms.

Method #2:
==========
Go to the advanced search page on Google, and specify answerbag.com in the "domain" box:
http://www.google.com/advanced_search?hl=en

The domain name box is a little hard to spot, it's below the drop-down box that says "anywhere in the page".

(so that's one more thing I can check off my "list of things to do before dying" - "Get AB to fix the lame search function")
