If I were heavily exposed to strep throat but didn't realize it until my significant other got diagnosed, should I go to the doctor and get a throat culture just in case?

No. At least wait and see if you get that tickle in your throat. But go ahead and waste money if you want too. Just eat a bunch of vitamin C and see if it goes away. Worst case scenario: you get strep throat anyway.

    • LOL.
      .
Pleading the fifth...it went away. I had a nurse visit and a throat culture (free through my insurance) and there was no sign of the nasty streptoccocus bacteria.
