Who is it that first said that "insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result”?

    Actually it stems from Rita Mae Brown's novel Sudden Death, New York , 1983, p. 68.

    • Yes, this is the correct answer. All the other answers -- Albert Einstein, Benjamin Franklin, Chinese proverb -- are clearly wrong

    • DavidC, this is only one of many possible correct answers. It could be that each on of these people said it, it could be that Rita Mae Brown copied it from something she had heard.
