What ID is is a way to rescue evolutionary theory from fundamentalist atheists who insist that eveolutin somehow disproves God. It says that God drove the processes of the Universe, which I believe is correct. It says that behind this complex but orderly design that we call the Universe, with its laws and processes, there must be a designer, a lwmaker, a driving force.

    • If that was all Intelligent Design said, then there would be very little reason for it to conflict with Evolutionary theory.

One of the big beefs I have with Intelligent Design is that it seems to lack the core component of religion: faith.
When one feels their faith so threatened by science that they feel the need to come up with competing theories, rather than simply accepting facts and choosing to abide by the belief that God works in mysterious ways, then one has truly lost the capability for faith.
