Help answer this question below.

Can a police officer walk into a bar and tell everyone if anybody gets in their car and attempts to drive he will pull them over? And then stop them before they get out of the lot, and arrest them for DUI?

    It's the same principle as a security checkpoint. If the police let you know that you can't bring any guns through the checkpoint before you get to it, they can still check you for guns to make sure you are in compliance. If you are carrying a gun, you go to jail. If not, you go on your merry way.
