Is there any way I can prevent phone books from being delivered to me?

    We tried to prevent phone books being delivered to us at one time. Where I was living, this is how the phone book delivery happens: A company is hired to deliver the books and they, in turn, hire people to deliver the books at a low wage. Each person is given a section of the area in which the books are to be delivered along with each address. They then load up the books in their vehicles and head straight to your neighborhood. The book is then deposited somewhere in the vicinity of your front door. In summation, if your state handles phone book delivery in the same manner, good luck not getting one if you don't want one.
