You're reading In an American high school, is there a Head boy and a Head girl like there is here?
Comments
I was trying to explain it to Burned, if you care to have a look :)
It's more about representing the school kind of thing, like the head boy and girl are chosen because they've done well in their exams, and they're well liked, and good speakers and stuff.

ah, i don't snoop in ppls comments without being invited to be honest. thanks. it makes some sense. we have scottish exchange students come to my high-school every year. they've told us that the whole president of the class isn't how they do business over there. different cultures i would guess.
