Help answer this question below.

Earlier in the Game i accidently picked up the Shadow Shield and then dropped it somewhere. Is there anyway i can complete the main quest without the shadow shield? Or is there anyway i can get it back?

uhm... probably, but it would be a bit easyer to help you if you could tell me what game you were playing...
