Some use many words and say nothing...others use few words to say something ... but sometimes the exact opposite can occur. Do you take the time to always read each word before you make a judgment about the value of what you've read?

    Someone

Depends. If I am having a very light hearted conversation I do not take each word into consideration. If I am taking my time and reading a novel sometimes each individual word does, in fact, mean a lot.

However, sometimes value is not determined on the words we use, but the meaning and insinuation behind them.

    • The problem quite often is semantics. Words mean different things to different people. Sometimes people argue pointlessly. They really agree, but because they don't grasp the intention of the other person, they are responding to things that are not there..simply because of semantics. Thank you for your answer Someone! :)

    • This is true, but I think, no matter what words you use, it can be hard to understand meaning. And yet, it IS the meaning which is the most important!

    • Aye, there's the rub. We're lucky if we ever really understand each other..since we only have our words. I'm still unable to give you points. :(

    • And me to you, I'm not worried. You aren't the only one I can't give points to and you're not the only one who can't give points to me. ;D

    • True. But without words your intention cannot be communicated. Thank you for your answer Someone and Happy Wednesday! :)
