Why did Mike Starr leave Alice In Chains?

    According to press releases the departure was "amicable" and that Starr left because of the rigors of constant touring/wanted to spend more time with family. Naturally, there were many rumours of the "real" reason he left. Some people speculated that he was doing drugs, selling bootlegs, selling other things, or that the rest of the band just got sick of him. Whatever the reason, he left in 93. I personally prefer to believe that he was just tired of touring. Hope this helps :D
