What actually happens if you put Mentos in Diet Coke? Does it actually foam/explode like in the videos?

    YES! It's great! Get a two litre bottle of coke, and a packet of mentos still in the foil (loosely) then drop the whole tube in at once and screw the lid on really fast - you have to do it in one swift movement or it will start exploding before you can put the lid on. Then chuck the bottle on the ground end downwards and it just takes off like a rocket.

    Or, keep some mentos handy and drop them in people's Coke when they're not looking... :)
