What's interesting to consider is why the religious argument against scientific creation is that 'you can't get something from nothing', so therefore, if God 'did' come from nothing, he must also be nothing! OR, you 'can' get something from nothing? OR, God has been in existence for an infinite amount of time, which is the same thing said of the universe (the big bang created the physical reality we see around us, not the universe itself). Essentially, either we are both justified, or neither of us is justified...

God is something beyond our mere human understanding.

I'd agree, yet there are still vast numbers of people who claim to have personal relations with him, and claim to know his thoughts, plans, rules, likes, and dislikes : / Isn't it fairly arrogant for people to make such claims? *shrugs* I've never actually asked Christians before... Be interested to hear some feedback ; )

Thank you, Twhufold. We, Christians, do have a personal relationship with God our Father through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. However, we do not know everything about Him (even if we claim to) or all of His plans, we just know what He has given us to know from His Word and what He reveals to us in His time. The Bible even says that our thoughts are not as His thoughts. We live and walk by faith in our Great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
