I would do it, so I don't know how to answer that. I think 15 is too young to be driving. I started teaching my daughters at 16 and started letting them drive alone at 17. I still avoid letting my youngest drive during rush hour, but my oldest started at 18. She got into a major accident during morning rush within 2 weeks of that and had to be air lifted into a major trauma center. She didn't drive for 2 years after that, even though she recuperated within the year. She still has symptoms of PTSD and over reacts while driving so avoids it as much as she can.

    • Thanks for sharing, i wonder sometimes, but our state gives them a learers permit at 15 and she has to drive with either her mother or i. at 16, after logging 50 hours of driving, then they get their regular license, with lots of restrictions.

    • Sounds like my wife. She had her first accident at age 67 and totaled a 2 year old Lincoln LS (estimate over $18,000 with a bent frame). My insurance said that there most likely was damage they hadn't yet found and totaled the car.

She over reacts when I'm driving and scares the crap out of me at times.
She drives very much like an old lady now. Slow and over careful.
