What kind of mother allows her 16 year old daughter to have a 28 year old boyfriend?

    Probably one who did the same thing, or was abused or molested as a youth.

    I dated this girl when i was in my early 20s who was 15. She told me when we met that she was 19 and it was in a niteclub, so i never even considered that she COULD be lying.

    In any case i found out different later and also found out that her dad had molested her and her step sister. The mother left him with them in tow, but its likely she knew that it was going on there to begin with and did little initially.

    When i met her she was cold and basically said nothing to me. I could tell he didnt approve, but she did and said absolutely nothing. Even when the girl moved from her home to the father's home to be closer to me, she said nothing and gave her no warning (the girl was too young at the time of abuse to possibly even have remembered it). He eventually molested her again as a teen and when i found out about it, it sent me over the edge.

    Girls like her will always have issues with men, as well as girls who have been abandoned by their fathers at a young age, or had unavailable fathers due to overworking /drug alcohol, etc. Looking for a father figure is common for them and a mother who has experienced the same thing, will probably know that Disallowing such a thing may only propel them to find another or into something worse.

    Also women who have been abused, tend to allow abusers into their family or into associations with their children, even if they can "smell" them a mile away.
