Do 2001 Corollas come with timing belts or chains, and at how many miles should I change it?

    I believe the 2001 Corollas have a timing chain. This is also true of my 2002 Corolla CE. I've also read that timing chains are meant to last the life of the vehicle and well... I'm at 101,000 miles and things seem to act brand new, including all the belts.
