Question

Help answer this question below.

I'm a 20 yr old 160 lb skinny guy. I finally found a mass supplement that fits my regimen perfectly except I would be taking 25 g of sat fat per day (150% sdv). Is that a big deal? Should I pay more for less sat fat?

I'll venture to guess that your body type is an ectomorph, Hardgainer??

What is your goal exactly? If it's gaining weight or adding muscle mass your on the right path. The ticket to doing either is an excess in calories. With respect to your 'regimin' though there is a whole cluster of things that need consideration and balance, if you're interested in your health.

Saturated fat is one of the greater keys to bodybuilding success during a bulking cycle. Saturated fats are found in animal products including beef, pork, lamb, milk, cheese and eggs. This nutritional element is known to act as a one of the primary fuel sources for your bodys energy to act on while other nutrients are offered the oppurtunity to replenish and rebuild tissue. Benefits to consuming saturated fats are it's abiltiy to enhance and regulate testosterone. Saturated fat in diets enhance your bodys ability to increase more power and decrease down time between visits to the gym. Although consumption should be limited they should not be avoided.
