Wow, that's way north. Do they get to see the sun up there?
by Drublic on February 10th, 2007
According to Wiki:
There is 24-hour daylight from the last week of March until the middle of September and the sun is above the horizon from mid-April through August. From mid-October through the end of February the sun does not rise above the horizon and there is 24-hour darkness. Monthly temperatures are above freezing only in July and August.
NO THANKS.

That's crazy. Seeing it on the map, it doesn't look that much farther north than Houghton Michigan, where I went to school. The weather there was amazingly cold and we got about 200 inches of snow on average, but the daytime was normal. I don't think I could handle the constant day or constant night northern Canada and Alaska have to deal with.

Only about 2500 miles north of there!

Really? Looks closer on the map I looked up. Must be the distortion.
