The average heart rate for adults is between 60-80 beats per minute, so over the course of a year, your heart beats between 31,536,000 and 42,048,000 times.

    • The more you work out the lower your total number of eart beats will be. It increases whilst you are worknig out but gets fitter. Bjorn Borg the famous tennis player had a natural heart beat of about 40 (average is about 72). This was due to his superfitness.
