Yes, I contested a speeding ticket that was unjustly issued. The judge ruled in my favor.
(In 1977 during a severe cold snap, I was driving my 1973 Chevy Vega uphill after having just pulled onto the highway. A sheriff's deputy cited me for going 90mph. I testified that my car could only go 45 mph in that situation. He agreed, saying his wife owned one, too.) The deputy was given a dressing down in my presence.

    • it's too bad the judge has to have personal knowledge of the limitation in order to take your word over the person who pointed a radar gun at a crowd of cars and then pulled over the easiest target. :-/
