Would you have a problem with dating a man or woman who already had children if you didn't have any and wanted your own?

    When I was dating, I would halt everything if the guy told me he had kids. I dated guy with kids for a while, and we agreed we would see how the relationship went before I met his children, and then he just dumped them on me (3!) one night. I was VERY upset with him. I didn't know where we were going, and I didn't want to bounce into their life, then possibly bounce out. Well, I ended up liking them more than him, and the relationship failed, and I had no right whatsoever to see them. It hurt everyone involved badly.
    I vowed never again.
