Help answer this question below.

How do you react when someone says something negative about themselves in front of you and it's not true? [Ex. "I'm so ugly."]

    I've gotten stuck on this one before, it's frustrating when you know they're fishing for compliments, but I don't want to just say nothing. Sometimes I don't know if they REALLY think they're (fill in the blank), or if they're wanting me to say they're not (fill in the blank). ie: My niece is only 13, so I try to boost her self confidence by telling her she is the best at everything, but then, I am biased with her!
