You're reading Why do so many Christians use the name "Jesus" when his name was Yeshua?
Comments
I was taught it was Yahweh, but I was also told it meant Yeshua/Joshua

Because of the inability of humans to know how exactly to pronounce the name of God YHWH, the translators of the Septuagint, the first Greek translation of the Old Testament, used KYRIOS (Lord). This is how God is referred to in the New Testament, which was written in Koine Greek. But YHWH does not equal Yeshua. Yeshua is the same as Joshua "God saves".

But if you look up a Hebrew grammar you will find the verb to be in active future form consisting exactly of these four letters(sounds) and spelled yehove meaning Existenciator /in future, like futurator/.
It is not so terribly complicated to sepell it. (Although it is true there is a rich tradition of how and why not to spell it.)Otherwise you are right in the translation.
