    Shalom,

This is a point of much contention. Ultimately, when interviewing religions the two primary topics we want to know are "Who's in charge?" and "What's your view on the afterlife?".

    1) Who's in charge?
    HaShem

HaShem (Ha - The Shem - Name, is Hebrew and implies the real Name of G-d, YHWH) is G-d. He is the L-rd Almight, bless be He forever and ever.

Every religion, with the exception of one, has come about by a single method - individual revelation. This means that one person ultimately build the ground work and everyone else follows.

The one exception is Judaism, which was formed by national revelation. The entire Nation of Yisra'el experienced G-d at Mt. Sinai with Moses. They saw G-d with their eyes, they received the Torah from His mouth, they worshiped Him in person.

G-d tells us that He is One, that there is no one beside Him, and that He is the beginning and end. He made Creation with no help from any other because there was no other(s).

Personally, I believe in Yahushua too (Yahu - G-d, Shua - Saves / Jesus), but this is personal point.

    2) What about the afterlife?

When a person dies, if they were righteous (via a mixture of works and faith) they enter shamayim (Heaven). If not, they enter Geheinna (Hell), which is a continuation of their past struggles. Let me explain:

When you die, you are presented with your life. Your soul was given to you as a pure and holy soul. However, you are accountable for your sins. When you review your life (in my belief, Yahushua, Jesus, will be there to judge you alongside you) you will relive your entire life as it was in the reality of things. Each and everything you did will create pleasure or pain according to whether it was good or bad, and in degrees according to how good or how bad. Sin is like a tattoo for the soul, however there is no laser surgery to remove sin in the afterlife. The only way to get it off is to, literally, rip it off. It'll be the most painful and nightmarish experience you could ever experience, but it is not eternal. Once your soul is scrubbed clean you come to a cross-roads.

G-d places each individual on the planet for a reason. We each have our own personal roles and missions. Some are meant to be Jews, some are meant to be Christian. Some are meant to be righteous atheists. Some are meant to make light-bulbs, some are meant to destroy them. On and on.

If the soul did not complete it's mission it might be reincarnated. If the soul still has addictions or hurdles that must be completed before it can ascend, it might experience more of it's own, personally created hell until it finally does cross the hurdles. For some, this is eternal because they will never put down their foot and break the addiction themselves.

If the soul had completed it's mission, it is now not just the soul G-d created and granted you, it's now a glorified and beautiful soul that you helped complete for G-d. It's not 100%, it's 110%! The soul has the pleasure of basking in the rays of HaShem forever and ever, growing eternally closer. If the soul had children, or was a teacher of some sort, it might follow it's progeny and grow as they grow - continuing to reap reward for it's lasting effect on humanity. Or it might be dragged down into a new hell caused by it's progeny as they misbehave and destroy their works.

What must you do? Meditate, study, pray maybe. Learn about yourself, understand your mission. Perform charitable deeds. Do not follow after idols. Have faith in one G-d. Pray, understand, believe, be a blessing upon the Earth so that you might be a blessing upon your soul when it begins it's journey in the afterlife.
