People who think they are "chosen" by God are, I think, deluded and often dangerous. If there is a God, and he is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent, then either he does single us out, or he permits some pretty weird and random sh!t to take place.
I don't think people really "choose" God either; you either believe or you don't, and no amount of psyching yourself up is going to make you believe if you already do not. In that case, it usually takes one of those aforementioned occurances, generally of the life-changing sort, to put you on that path. But I don't see it as a choice, rather more like being straight or gay.

    • Everyone on the earth is chosen by God. Only a few choose to answer back to Him.

    • You don't know God. Nobody knows God. We have termed all unidentified sources of power as 'God'. Most of you have heard of 'Cause & Effect', but have you heard of 'Choice, Cause & Effect'? When people are referring to God's-will, they are only referring to 'Effect'. They skip 'Cause' and, of course, ignore 'Choice'.
