Does anyone know how to start on becoming a photographer?

    you mean getting paid???
    Find what you enjoy, take pictures of it...if someone needs photos of it you'll be the one they call. You need to build a portfolio of whatever, cars, flowers, dogs, oceans whatever you specialize in.
    You'll probably have to pay the bills by doing weddings and engagement photos.
    So, do a few friends first, build the portfolio, do a few weddigs for free or cheap until you get that portfolio and a good reputation.
    Once you get a good reputation, its all up from there. Customer service and reliability are very important.
