If your lungs get filled with sea water but you are saved from drowning, can you die soon afterwards from the effects of having sea water in your lungs?

    Yes you can its called "dry drowning". SYMPTOMS ARE SHORTNESS OF BREATHE, FATIGUE, YOU MAY ALSO EXPERIENCE LOSS OF BOWL CONTROL. AS LITTLE AS 4OZ CAN CAUSE LUNG IRRITATION. IF YOU OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW SHOWS ANY OF THESE SIGN GOT TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM IMMEDIATLY. THE PERSON IN QUESTION CAN SEEM TO BE FUNCTIONING PROPERLY, BUT IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE SAFE.
