Is schooling a hindrance to education? Is formal education just a form of subtle indoctrination, or is it possible to sit through years of lecturing and still consider your opinion to truly be the product of your own reason?

    It depends on the person. I can honestly say I've had good teachers, because I still have an opinion of my own.
