Help answer this question below.
I've made soap for almost 40 years. I haven't since we've moved to New York, but I do prefer it as it is so much gentler to the skin and doesn't have all the chemicals that regular soap has. My skin is never as soft as it is with handmade soap. We used to make our own laundry and other kinds of soap, too, even sold some. Nice little moneymaker:-)

Thanks for the answer! I don't remember when I discovered handmade soaps and other toiletries, but I try to buy them whenever possible now. I don't have any allergies or have sensitive skin, but like you I just think my skin is so much better for using handmade soap compared to mass produced bars from stores.

I love the things in handmade soap, like goat milk and honey, olive oil, grapeseed oil, oatmeal, and spices. They smell good and feel so good on the skin. And I know that 4everything I place on my skin is natural, not some chemical that could go through the skin.
