Changing oneself should be only to improve the genuine, true you. For example, there's an expression that we're all diamonds in the rough. Sometimes when we're immature, we don't know who we truly are, but we can improve ourselves by pursuing our dreams and stretching out talents to excavate the diamond within. Let's say the now famous singer, Juile Andrews, as a young girl, truly had talent, but was too afraid to pursue her singing carreer, so she spent most of her life working at a 7-11 store, her inner diamond probably wouldn't have a chance to shine. But if she took the bold leap to develop her talent and pursue her dreams, she will shine so brightly, and THAT will attract people.
