I purchased a vehicle in Oct 2007 for $20000 a 1998 toyota which was a private sale. Within 2 months the motor is stuffed and I need a new motor. Do I have any legal rights?

No and that is really bad. I guess that's the bad side of buying privately b/c in dealerships you have warranties.
