According to the Bible, the only way to the Father is through the Son. John 3:3 (NIV) clearly says, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again."Again, in John 3:5-7 (NIV) it says, "Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth no one can enter the Kingdom of God unless he is born of water and spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be suprised at my saying, "You must be born again." If you accept Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life and ask Him to come into your life and save you, then you will go to Heaven. The only unpardonable sin is blaspheming to Holy Spirit, but you still have to be born again in order to get into Heaven. Revisided: 11/8/05 The 144,00 that one refers to are Jews. If you read Revelation and study it properly, you will notice that the Church has already been raptured by the time it talks of the 144,000. By the Church I mean those of us who believe in Jesus to be our Lord and Savior and have asked Him into our lives to save us. The dead in Christ will rise first and then those of us (Christians) that remain will be caught up to meet them in the air. Blaspheming the Holy Spirit is simply put "Rejecting the Holy Spirit and His urgings". It is not a one time sin. It is more of a lifetime of refusing to submit to His prompting and basically refusing to accept Jesus as Lord. You see, Jesus died once and for all time for all sin past present and future. Anyone who is sentenced to Hell will be so, due to his or her own decision not to submit to Christ Jesus as Lord. In other words, if you go to Hell it is your own fault. Everyone has a choice to make. God sacrificed His Only Son to die for ALL sin with the exception of one. So, you don't go to Hell because of all your sin. You go to Hell because you decided by yourself to reject Jesus and His free gift given by grace. In Ephesians it says that salvation (which means ... "going to Heaven") is a gift from God. That it is given by God's grace so no man can boast. The Bible also says many times in Matthew that it is the accepting of Jesus that makes your way to Heaven possible, not anything else. So, if anyone is doubting whether he/she is going to Heaven, you can have the assurance if you just ask Jesus to come into your life and save you. The Bible says to ask Him to be Lord of your life and mean it and you will go to Heaven. That is what true Christians believe because that is what the Bible says. Not my words but Almighty God's.

    • One needs also to look to Matthew 7:21-23 and for the definitive answer Matthew 25:31-46.

    • Great answer. It is likely that anyone who would blaspheme the Holy Spirit in the first place was not really saved at all.

    • Only 144,000 get 'into' heaven. Rev. 7;4& 14;1. The rest await resurrection.

    • VerbalAcceptance of Christ /= entrance to heaven, nor does not accepting Christ=damnation to hell. It's more complex than that

    • Tell me, brainwashjw...why is the number 144,000 the only thing you interpet as literal in the book of Revelation?
