It's a REALLY bad idea to combine an ED drug with hypertension drugs. The interaction can be lethal (which your doctor will tell you to cover his/her @$$). They are all vaso-dilators (blood vessel openers), and too much of that will really wear a person out, and fast). Honestly, what I would recommend (and I'm 98% sure your doc will say the same) is to maybe cut some animal product from your diet, go low fat, do a few more minutes on a treadmill, you'll honestly be surprised. When your force your blood, through cardiovascular exercise, to go places it won't when you're resting, eventually the vessels won't need the pharmaceutical help. It's perhaps not as immediate as taking a pill, but you don't sound too pleased with the thought of another drug (which again, I stress SHOULD NOT be mixed with hypertension--high blood pressure--medication).

    • Thank you for the advice. I'm not sure if he's still having the problem or what they are doing about it, but I'll pass this along.

    • The above, in reference to hypertension meds being taken with ed meds, is very, very, very untrue. . .unless the vasodilator in question happened to be nitrate based. But those are usually prescribed for heart conditions, not hypertension.
