    • I think you will find that the forthrightness of what you are asking is seen as proselytizing and will meet with annoyance! My advice is make friends here and moderate in order to learn what the viewpoint of others is. You come across quite aggressive. You are clearl a Jehovah's Witness with a message to bring. If you want to influenec people with your beliefs then you will need to stop banging on the doors and converse.

    • I am not trying to change your religion. I would just like for you to take a look at the scriptures from your own, before answering the question. You did not really provide enough information in your answer. I would like to apologize if I am to aggressive. I for one like for people to back there answers up with scriptural proof, because man will tell you anything.
I will tone it down some.

    • I think you will make friends from all sorts of backgrounds more easily, I was concerned that you will become bombarded with all sorts of criticism.
Just because you have linked all of those verses to debauchery does not exclude celebrations. God is not angry that his people celebrate with propriety. There is nothing wrong with thanking Him for another year of his grace and mercy extended to an unworthy sinner. When it comes to Christmas I am sure you will remind me of the decorated trees in Jeremiah. But my opinion is as soon as Religion is taken out of a winter festival the better!

    • It is not wrong for God's people to celebrate I am sure you wil agree therefore do not throw the baby out with the bathwater. One of the dangers of proof texts such as stated is that they are all out of the context of the passage and none of those you list relate to each other in any way. You need to be careful of doctines from a systematic theology that do not fit with biblical theology.

    • Read Isaiah 55:11. God's word is his word.
