Is a pineapple a citrus fruit? If not, why not?

    No. Citrus fruits belong to the family Rutaceae, and Pineapples are of the family Bromeliaceae. One major difference between the two is that citrus trees bear fruit from their branches, while pineapple fruit is actually the stem of the plant.

    • but the very important think is pine apple is rich in acid.. and it produces too much acid for digestion
