Why is it that a lot of people would rather believe Jesus to be a fake than really God's Son who came to take away the sins of the world?

    Its easier to believe.

    But think about it,

If you lived your whole life believing in Jesus and God, and you found out he wasn't true it wouldn't matter that much because you would of lived a good life.

However if you lived your whole life not believing and you went to hell, then its going to matter.

    Hmm...

    • With all due respect, I feel that this argument is meant to overshadow the issue. You've gone from the truth about God and the nature of such an existence, to the utility of believing such an existence. The issues are different things.

    • People who spend their whole lives believing in Jesus and Yahweh have no lower rate of violence and crime than those who don't. They still hurt other people - sometimes a lot.

    • I know what you mean Ender, and, I'm not meaning to over shadow an issue. I am not religious, although I do think about such things as much as any one would. Well, I didn't mention my standing on religion in the answer so I'm not changing my mind either.

    • You have an assumption that if you believe in Jesus and Yahweh, you definitely have lived a good life. That is a false assumption.

    • Actually I don't have that assumption. I know a guy who believes in Jesus and he is quite a horriable person might I add. I am sorry that this wording has offended you and I see what you mean, but I didn't mean it that way when I answered. I just ment, you have lived your life and now that it is at the end it won't affect you really.

    • That would definitely be true.
